“Craziness of crazy mechanisms”

So stop thinking and start doing!!! This year Pursuit comes with the most brain storming event “CONTRAPTION”. The word contraption means a strange device or a strange mechanism. The aim of Contraption is to build a model with more energy saving. Simplicity is prime aspect for Contraption. Just complete the task given to you in most wonderful & creative way and let your contraption go crazy in the race to complete the task. The model with the best solution, taking less time and scoring more points, while performing the task, would be the winner of the event.
Task:-
You have to create a mechanism to push the ball accurately so as to move from the wooden plank to the ramp and finally on the board as shown in fig. The ball should fall as near as possible after jumping from the ramp.

Rules:-
1. Mechanism should consist of at least Three energy conversions which can consist of mechanical, electrical, sound, light, vibration, chemical, etc. Extra points would be given for every step if your contraption consists of more than Three steps.
2. The whole mechanism should complete the task within 10 min of the time of start.
3. Each team would consist of maximum “4” participants.
4. The whole mechanism should be concealed in a space of 5×5×5foot.
5. You will get two chances for practicing the target.
6. Two hand touches are allowed in final chance and it will result in negative marking.
7. Any damage to the arena or nearby contraption will result in disqualification. Also the contraption should be safe to the satisfaction of the judges and coordinators.
8. An electric supply of 230V AC would be provided.
9. Judge’s decision would be final.
Participants are requested to bring 2 copies of properly printed write-ups of their contraption where the number of steps and number of energy conversions should be clearly mentioned.
