The department being an integral and basic part of the college, focuses on promoting the applications of scientific knowledge in a manner that prepares the students to contribute effectively, intellectually and ethically as citizens of a dynamic scientific community.  Department caters the needs of B.E, M.E, and M.B.A. with reference to applied sciences and humanities.
This is a full-fledged department having qualified teaching faculty in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Social Sciences and Economics.  The average teaching experience of faculty is above fifteen years. The department is having one doctorate and six M. Phils.  Five members of the department are pursuing Ph. D., one of them has recently submitted Ph.D thesis.

Main focus of the department is teaching subjects of applied sciences and humanities to under graduate level. Besides teaching to B.E., two faculty members are regularly engaged in teaching to M.E. classes.

Our faculty provides guidance to the BE, ME, MBA students in their projects when required.
Since the beginning, the department is progressing to keep the rapport between the latest technological changes and the need of the students who has to face the global challenges.
